Honest Take — Before You Begin
The honest framing for this module is that you have been making your biggest career and money decisions emotionally — "can I leave this job?", "can I drop this client?", "can I hi…
Build the 12-month cash-flow model for your combined income streams and household expenses. Compute runway under best / likely / worst scenarios. Convert the big career-and-founder decisions — "can I leave this job?", "can I drop this client?", "can I hire?", "should I raise capital (or not)?", "can I invest in my product at a higher pace?" — from emotional questions into mechanical threshold conditions. Cash-flow modeling is capacity planning for your own working life; the scenarios are load tests. The threshold conditions are circuit breakers: when the metric crosses the line, the behavior changes by prior decision, not by panic — the difference between a system with runbooks and one with heroics. Without thresholds, every career decision is an incident handled live at 2 a.m. With them, the decision flow was decided in daylight.
