Produce a diagnostic essay (~1,000 words) identifying (a) the existing flow channels in your life — there are some — (b) the structural blockers that keep flow from occurring more often, and (c) three falsifiable hypotheses about what would change if specific blockers were removed. Module 0 is the production logging pass before any optimization work. You do not optimize a Rails app by reading The Pragmatic Programmer and applying its principles abstractly. You read the production logs, identify the slow queries, and then apply principles to the specific bottlenecks. Module 0 is your production log for cognition. Two weeks of structured observation produces the equivalent of a week of New Relic data. The diagnostic essay is the post-mortem. Without it, the rest of the curriculum is premature optimization in the worst sense — applying generic patterns without knowing whether they target your actual constraints.
